Dante Lepore, Ph.D. Receives NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship

Date Posted: Thursday, March 23, 2017

Dante Lepore, Ph.D., a postdoc in Dr. Mary Munson’s lab, has just received a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the National Institutes of Health. His project, entitled “Elucidating of exocyst tethering function by single molecule assays and EM,” focuses on gaining insight into the mechanistic details of the exocyst complex’s function. Using electron microscopy, he will be looking to determine how proteins fit together in one complex. He will also be using single molecule fluorescent assays to measure the ability of the complex to tether individual packages.

Everyone here in BMP congratulates Dr. Lepore in this great accomplishment!
