Paul Thompson, PhD, receives Outstanding Investigator Award from NIH
Paul Thompson received the prestigious Maximizing Investigators Research Award (MIRA) from the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) to fund work in his lab studying the Protein Arginine Deiminases, a family of enzymes whose activity is dysregulated in a variety of autoimmune disorders and cancers. The amount of the award is 4 million dollars. And his project is called "Chemical probes to decipher PAD biology".
