UMass Medical Biochemistry Department was listed as #12 in the nation for total NIH Funding to US Medical Schools

Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research has listed University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Biochemistry Department as number 12 in the nation for total NIH Funding to US Medical Schools. Our Department is the recipient of $12,102,376 in NIH funds at the end of September 2016. Also worthy of mention is that two of our faculty members are listed in the top 50 individual recipients of NIH Funding. Congratulations to Dr. Oliver Rando listed as #26 and Dr. Celia Schiffer listed at #38.
