A Warm Welcome From Our Chair
My colleagues and I have created an interactive, innovative and stimulating environment in which faculty, students and postdoctoral fellows bring a molecular perspective to challenging problems in biology and medicine. Spectacular advances in genomics, computational biology, spectroscopy, and chemistry enable our investigators to unravel the molecular mechanisms unpinning a diverse set of problems in a variety of model organisms.
The Department provides cutting-edge facilities for proteomics, crystallography, NMR spectroscopy, small molecule screening and single molecule analysis because we are well aware that technology drives discovery. Courses, seminars and informal chalk talks complement many exciting opportunities in our research laboratories.
I encourage you to visit the websites of our faculty to learn about their programs and view their most recent publications. If you are a student or a postdoctoral fellow seeking advanced training in biochemical sciences, you will not find a more talented and supportive faculty dedicated to your development as a professional.
