Rogerio Luis Alexio Silva
Postdoctoral FellowResearch Focus: His works in the Xu/Thompson labs involve the discovery of the citrullination roles in ALS models.
Scientific History: Rogerio is a Biologist and did both a master's and PhD in Biology at the University of Sao Paulo (USP) studying bacterial antioxidant proteins related to virulence, focused on protein biochemistry, structural biology, and microbiology.
Fun Fact: Outside the lab he likes to spend time with his wife and kids, also playing video games.

Lin Han
Postdoctoral FellowResearch Focus: Lin works in the Thompson & Xu labs to study citrullination in ALS.
Scientific History: Lin received her BS/MS degree in Peking University, China and her PhD degree in Cornell University. During her PhD, she studied gut-microbiome-associated enzymes using activity-based protein profiling.
Fun Fact: Outside of the lab, she enjoys working out in the gym and dancing.

Issa Yusuf
Sr. Research ScientistResearch Focus: I am investigating the specific roles of dysregulated PADs in ALS to advance understanding of neurodegenerative disease pathogenesis and mechanisms and to explore novel biomarkers and therapeutic strategies.
Scientific History: I have a BSc and MSc in Human Physiology in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and University of Ibadan, Nigeria, respectively. After my MSc., I proceeded to Taiwan for my PhD where I obtained a PhD in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience, from National Cheng Kung University, and Academia Sinica, Taipei. Taiwan in 2019. I then joined as a Postdoctoral research associate in Zuoshang Xu lab until 2024.
Fun Fact: If I am not doing research, I love to read, think, travel, and meet people.
