The International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology has selected Dr. ShaoHsien Liu’s abstract as the Best Methods Abstract submitted by a student for presentation at the 33rd International Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology & Therapeutic Risk Management (ICPE), August 26-30, 2017 at the Palais des Congress de Montreal in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Liu’s work on approaches to handling missing data in the setting of marginal structural models used a plasmode simulation framework to show that multiple imputation methods outperformed (reduced bias, best coverage) weighting and complete case approaches to handling missing data.  Coauthors on this paper include Jacob Hunnicutt, MPH PhD student and Drs. Stavroula Chrysanthopoulou and Kate Lapane. Dr. Liu will present his paper in Montreal and will accept his award at the Annual Meeting of ISPE Members & Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, August 29, 2017.
