Deborah Mack, MPH

Deb Mack is a PhD student in the Clinical and Population Health Research program in the Department of Quantitative Health Sciences of UMass Medical School’s Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She received her Masters of Public Health in the Health Services Research track from Brown University’s School of Public Health with a focus in gerontology. After graduation, she worked at the Institute for Aging Research in Boston, MA. She is interested in using causal inference and advanced statistical modeling techniques to address concerns related to health services and pharmacoepidemiology among geriatric and nursing home populations. She hopes to use research to inform and guide policy decisions that lead to more cost-effective and better quality care for elderly populations. She is funded by the Center for Clinical and Translational Science TL1 training grant.
