2001 Annual Meeting of the Workers' Compensation Health Initiative

Annual Program Meeting of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
Workers' Compensation Health Initiative
September 6 - 7, 2001
Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina, Newport, R.I.

The 2001 Annual Meeting of the Workers' Compensation Health Initiative convened grantees, National Advisory Committee members, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation senior project officers and staff, and National Program Office staff for the purposes of:

  • Providing a forum for grantees to share their collective experiences and to network with other researchers, funding agencies and policy experts in the fields of workers' compensation, occupational health, health services research, and general health care.

  • Facilitating strategic discussions of:
    • what is known and needed in the field of workers compensation medical care;
    • how what we have learned from the workers' compensation health initiative and related work might impact and improve health care systems for people with chronic illness and disabilities regardless of insurance status; and
    • opportunities for strategic research and demonstration projects in the future.
