The Worcester Nursing Pipeline Consortium is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships from the Fairlawn Foundation. These scholarships are intended to support nursing students who have demonstrated a commitment to improving the health of residents in the Worcester area through employment, clinical practice, and/ or community service in Worcester, Massachusetts with plans to sustain that commitment upon the completion of their current nursing studies.
Qualifying students residing in the Worcester area and attending Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester State College, or the University of Massachusetts Graduate School of Nursing may be selected as Fairlawn Scholars based specific criteria. Fairlawn Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, and other expenses incurred while pursuing their nursing education. In addition to scholarship monies, the Fairlawn Scholars will be expected to act as outreach ambassadors to local junior and senior high schools, community health care agencies and institutions, and other health care groups to identify and inform potential nursing students of the opportunities available for professional nurses in the 21st century.
