Welcome to the University of Massachusetts
Worcester Family Medicine Residency Program Web Site
Founded in 1974, The UMass Worcester Family Medicine Residency continues at the forefront of Family Medicine training regionally and nationally. With more than 350 graduates to date, UMass offers one of the most experienced, diverse Family Medicine Residencies in the country, three unique family health centers, and three separate match numbers.
Our residency is central to the clinical and academic missions of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, nationally recognized for its leadership in residency training, community service, faculty development, medical school teaching, and research. Our department and residency have been serving underserved populations for over thirty years providing leadership and partnering with state and local government and agencies to meet the health care needs of the people of Massachusetts.
You'll find our graduates practicing throughout New England, across the United States and around the world in many different styles and settings. Counted among our alumni are community and national leaders, department chairs, respected researchers and educators, and clinicians practicing the full range of Family Medicine.
Please take some time to explore our web site. Check out our curriculum, our three Family Health Centers, our Family Medicine Inpatient Service, and the communities we live in and serve. Meet the residents and faculty on-line, then come and visit. When you do visit, be prepared to fall in love with Worcester and our program.
We look forward to meeting you!
