"I trained at Family Health in the first half of the 1990s.  It was an
intense experience that prepared me well to continue work in community health in Colorado.  Full-service family medicine in a culturally rich
environment with top-notch faculty who were walking the talk ... it
was what I needed to clarify and solidify why I chose to become a physician.
What's more, I was honored by the company of amazing peers, kindred
spirits I doubt I could have found elsewhere.  It was also the longest and
hardest Spanish course I've ever had.  If you care about social justice and
want to figure out how to practice post-graduate family medicine without
losing your soul, I encourage to check out the program at Family Health."

"My experience as a resident at Queen Street working with a group of
extraordinarily dedicated health care providers, along with incredibly grateful
patients, uniquely shaped me as I grew from green medical student to family
physician.  The intellectual and emotional challenges that my residency provided
brought me immense satisfaction as I learned how to truly be present with my
patients.  Not only did I receive a phenomenal medical education, but I learned
volumes about social class, human needs and emotions, and cultural competency.
This is why I continued on as faculty at FHCW after my residency, and I have
continued to work at community health centers since."

"Worcester Massachusetts and the Family Medicine Program of the University of
Massachusetts provided excellent training for me as a family doctor. When I
completed the residency program, I was equipped to practice with a sound
knowledge base as a result of the excellent guidance from the faculty and staff,
both from the University and the Family Health Center. I would recommend this
training for anyone interested in becoming a family physician."

"Family Health was a great place to train.  I was well prepared to practice the
full spectrum of family medicine (including OB), something which I have discovered
is rather rare in today's family medicine residency grads.  It sounds corny, but all that
I have needed to know to practice medicine I learned in my residency.  On top of this,
I learned how to work with NPs, translators, and the immigrant/underserved patient
population.  That patient population has different needs than others, and I have only
realized the value of my residency experiences as I have gained distance from my residency
years.  As someone who went into residency planning not to do OB, I was grateful to my
Family Health OB experience because it made it easier to get my first job--as residency
faculty."

"Family Health is an extremely important institution. The education offered by patients
and faculty prepared me extremely well for a career in Community Health Center work.
Learning from highly capable and dedicated faculty was a gift."
