Membership in the new fitness center is open to all UMass Worcester
students, faculty and staff. Medical Students will have access to the
fitness Center via their student ID badge and membership is covered as
part of their tuition and fees.
Membership fees for all others
are $25 per month. No long-term contract or commitment is required. A
one-time enrollment fee of $29 will be waived for anyone who joins the
center during the month of April. After that time, new members will be
assessed the enrollment fee in addition to the monthly fee.
The
membership fee includes use of the exercise equipment, access to the
showers and locker rooms, and participation in any of the group exercise
classes to be offered, which will include yoga, Pilates, group cycling,
core conditioning, boot camp and a running club. Personal training
services will be offered for an additional fee. Beginning on April
22, the fitness center will be open to members 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. The center will be staffed Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8
p.m.
