Elective Description: This elective will explore the anatomic growth of the embryo, fetus, infant and child and provide the student with a sound working knowledge of the basis for normal as well as abnormal development. It is designed to augment the anatomy and embryology already learned in the first year Human Anatomy course. However, here the focus will be the chronological sequence of development and the comparison between systems of age related events. This is an excellent opportunity for students considering careers in Family Practice, OB/GYN, Pediatrics and pediatric subspecialties such as Surgery, Radiology, and Orthopedics.
