Prerequisites:Completion of 3rd year Psychiatry clerkship 
Elective Description: This elective will expose students to the interactions between the psychiatric and legal systems, emphasizing the impact of the law on psychiatric/medical practice and the role of psychiatry in the legal process. Students will participate in forensic evaluations (e.g. competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, dangerousness, etc. ) as part of  the Forensic Service of Worcester State Hospital, and will attend the regular conferences of the nationally renowned Law and Psychiatry Program at UMMS under the direction of Dr. Thomas Grisso.
