| Elective Description: To provide an overview of musculoskeletal problems, under the supervision of medical school faculty and Medical Center staff from Anatomy, Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Occupational Medicine, Occupational Therapy, Orthopedics, Orthotics, Pathology, Pediatrics, Physiatry, Physical Therapy, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Prosthetics, Radiology, Rheumatology, Sports Medicine, Stress Reduction, Vascular Surgery. Provide exposure to broad outpatient contact base including: trauma(sprains, strains, factures, dislocations), osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, connective tissue syndromes, spondyloarthropathy, crystal induced arthritis, overuse syndromes entrapment neuropathy, acute and chronic pain syndromes sports medicine, joint replacement. To develop proficiency in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal diseases. |
