Elective Description:To provide an overview of musculoskeletal problems, under the supervision of the medical school faculty and Medical Center staff from anatomy, Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Phsiatry, Physical Therapy, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Prosthetics, Radiology, Rheumatology, Sports Medicine, Stress Reduction, and Vascular Surgery. Provide exposure to broad outpatient contact base including but not limited to trauma (sprains, strains, fractures, dislocations), osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, connective tissue syndromes, spondyloarthropathy, crystal induced arthritis, overuse syndromes, entrapment neuropathy, acute & chronic pain syndromes, sports medicine, and joint replacement. The objective is to develop proficiency in the evalaution, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal diseases.
