Elective Description: 

Brief Summary of Expected Activities:

  • obtain patient histories and perform physical exam; in addition, formulate differential diagnosis and develop care plan, using review of literature as appropriate
  • attend regular didactic sessions
  • present both patients and assigned topics to team/attending
  • attend work rounds regularly
  • perform procedures (i.e. lumbar puncture) under direct supervision
