Fostering the Advancement of Clinical Communication Skills

Fostering the Advancement of Clinical Communication Skills (FACCS) is a continuing education seminar that covers "Basic Communication Skills and Patient Satisfaction" and "Difficult Patient/Provider Interactions." The two sessions feature role-playing and interactive discussion with standardized patients.

While primarily a patient satisfaction program, FACCS builds a bridge between the academic enterprise and its clinical partner, UMass Memorial Health Care, by helping faculty become better teachers.
