Information On Disabilities
As a center for research, service and training, the Shriver Center has as a primary mission the provision of current, accurate and complete information about disabilities in a timely manner.
New England INDEX,
the Shriver Center’s public information center, collects and maintains information on a wide variety of disabilities. It serves individuals and families as a source of information and referral, and it serves the community of non-profit, disability-related organizations as a primary source of electronic information and support. In addition, New England INDEX coordinates an over 100-member, state-wide information system called the Massachusetts Network of Information Providers for People with Disabilities (MNIP).
The MNIP provides a connection to a local source of information and referral to callers from around Massachusetts, and supports the collaboration of its members in solving information and referral problems.
