Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center Relocation

We are pleased to announce exciting changes at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center. At the end of November, 2013 the Center’s activities moved to two new locations from our former campus in Waltham, Mass.

The Shriver Center-Worcester is in the heart of the UMass Medical School campus within walking distance of major university programs and core facilities. This space has been renovated to meet the needs of our programs. The site was selected specifically to enhance research, training, and service programs within our Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (CANDo) and the new CANDo clinical service.

The Shriver Center-Boston is located in Charlestown, facilitating our long-established collaborations with university programs in town. The site has excellent access to public transportation and is more accessible to our stakeholders than our site in Waltham. We are occupying renovated space that has been designed especially for the needs of our programs.

Our University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) programs, and our graduate and post-graduate training program, LEND, are now operating from the Charlestown location.

These moves represent a change in geography, but not a change in the mission of the Shriver Center. Taken together, our new locations and facilities should help us increase the statewide impact of Shriver programs, expand access to clinical and research populations, and enhance development of our training and service programs.

Our new locations are:
