Research Interests:
Dr. Fleming’s research addresses the application of psychological principles and procedures to problems of social importance. Specializing in behavioral psychology, he is involved in research that addresses prevention and behavioral treatment of health-related problems through lifestyle change, and psychology-based instructional design for education and training.

Professional Interests:
Parallel to his research interests, Dr. Fleming develops programs to effect behavior change in families of children with developmental disabilities. His efforts include obtaining grants to develop education and training programs, teaching occasional courses, and giving workshops and presentations. Dr. Fleming is married with two school-aged daughters and lives close to the beaches of southern Rhode Island. He is also an avid rock climber and runner.
