Brain Awareness Week Activities

Since 1996, Shriver scientists have participated in National Brain Awareness Week, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health , the Society for Neuroscience , the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives Foundation and numerous other organizations, by presenting tours of working center-wide research laboratories for children from local communities. At each laboratory, scientists interacted with each group of students for 20-30 minutes and included hands-on activities, question and answer sessions and numerous handouts as souvenirs.
