Rheumatology Clinical Care

Comprehensive care is provided by Rheumatologists who are dedicated to improving the lives of patients with all rheumatic diseases. Our patients receive care in a newly renovated Rheumatology Center, situated in the West Wing on the Memorial Campus. The new center consolidates administrative and clinical outpatient rheumatology services and enhances collaboration and sharing of clinical information between our team of highly regarded physicians and support staff.

memorial campusFeaturing a patient-friendly design, the center provides spacious waiting and exam rooms, on-site phlebotomy services and new computer technologies. It is conveniently located near radiology, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanning and other diagnostic services. We provide access to the latest diagnostic and treatment modalities and our clinical trials program allows for participation in cutting edge trials. We maintain a focus on the translation of research discoveries into the clinical setting and research in the division is recognized nationally and internationally for excellence.

The Rheumatology Center serves as a training site for medical residents and post-residency rheumatology fellows of the UMass Chan Medical School. Its physicians and staff maintain a close working relationship with area rheumatologists and with other physicians and surgeons in Orthopedics, as well as throughout the UMass system. Rheumatologists and Orthopedic surgeons collaborate within the Musculoskeletal Center of Excellence. In addition, important basic science and clinical research is ongoing within the division.

Our faculty and fellows provide care for patients and offer consultative services in all areas of rheumatology in the outpatient and inpatient settings. For consultative services, we cover both the University and Memorial campuses. Trainees will receive exceptional training in all of these areas.
