is 761 bed academic health center consisting of 3 campuses: University, Memorial, and Hahnemann. The University campus provides training in inpatient, and outpatient nephrology including acute dialytic procedures. It is a level 1 trauma center and provides quaternary care in cardiovascular surgery and multi-organ transplantation. More than 60 kidney and kidney-pancreas transplants were performed in the last year.

This 12-station dialysis unit owned by Fresinius Medical Care, is operated by full-time faculty from the University campus. It offers state-of-the art dialysis equipment, a full-time staff for peritoneal dialysis training, and electronic medical records for physician management.

74-bed rehabilitation facility provides intensive inpatient rehabilitative care for patients recovering from serious illnesses. The Renal Division provides inpatient consultation and hemo- and peritoneal dialysis on site. Fellows may elect to see inpatient consults in this unique setting.
