Radiology Residency Program

Department Divisions

Neuroradiology

The Neuroradiology Division at the University of Massachusetts consists of three full time diagnostic neuroradiologists and two neurointerventionalists. Neuroradiology rotations provide our residents with extensive opportunities to learn about the diagnostic examinations and therapeutic procedures performed on the central and peripheral nervous systems.

Our main campus currently has 4 CT scanners, 3 MRIs (1.5T), and 3 Angiography suites. In addition to conventional MRI, diffusion and perfusion MR imaging and MR spectroscopy are part of our usual practice. Procedures include diagnostic angiograms, myelograms/spinal injections and neurointerventional procedures.

Working conferences with the Departments of Neurology, Neurological Surgery, Pediatric Neurology and Neuro-oncology provide added opportunities for discussing neuroimaging and its clinical applications.
