2012-13 Alvin R. Tarlov & John E. Ware Jr. Doctoral Dissertation and Post-Doctoral Award in Patient Reported Outcomes has been named after John E. Ware, Jr., Division Chief, Outcomes Measurement Science; Dr. Ware shares this honor with Alvin R. Tarlov. Alvin R. Tarlov and John E. Ware are considered to be two of the world’s leading pioneers in the development and use of patient reported outcome measures. The award is in the honor of Health Assessment Laboratory Founders. The Health Assessment Lab is a free-standing, not-for-profit organization with the goal of advancing state-of-the-art tools for monitoring health care services and health outcomes from the patient/consumer point of view.
