Asthma Co-Management Program: A program for adults
- Learn the use and purpose of the peak flow meter.
- Learn to recognize your "early warning signs" early enough to begin effective intervention.
- Gain a better understanding of what triggers your asthma
- Recognize stress factors in your life and learn to deal with them more effectively
- Learn the proper use of medications and other treatment modalities
The course meets every Wednesday from 6:00-7:30pm for nine weeks. Forty-five minutes is lecture followed by forty-five minutes of discussion. The course is covered by most insurance plans. Participants belonging to HMO's will need referrals from their physicians.
