Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine

Medical Education

Teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels of medical education is an integral divisional activity.  Faculty participate in teaching pathophysiology to first and second year medical students, medicine to third and fourth year medical students as well as residents rotating in the hospital wards and intensive care units and nurse practitioners in the Graduate School of Nursing, plus pulmonary and critical care medicine to fellows in our training program.  The multidisciplinary Sleep Disorders Center also is highly active in training residents and fellows in the Department of Medicine and other Departments.

The Department of Medicine and its faculty are deeply involved in Undergraduate Medical Education via leadership roles as course directors, teachers, collaborators with faculty in other departments, committee members, program developers, and student mentors/advisors.
