Center for Comparative NeuroImaging
(CCNI)

The Center for Comparative NeuroImaging (CCNI), part of the Brudnick Neuropsychiatric Research Institute (BNRI), houses ultra high-field magnetic resonance (MR) imaging spectrometers for use in the study of mental illness. Basic and clinical research studies will translate into an increased understanding of the causes of mental illness and to the development of new treatments.

This Center for Comparative NeuroImaging (CCNI) initiative was made possible by the collaborative efforts of a team of scientists from The University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Together, they have developed the technologies and applications for ultra high-field imaging.
