Lori Pbert, Ph.D., a clinical research psychologist, is a Professor of Medicine, Director of the Center for Tobacco Treatment Research and Training, and Associate Chief of the Division of Preventive and Behavioral Medicine. Serving as Principal Investigator on over 20 grants, the focus of her research is on the design and evaluation of intervention protocols to facilitate health behavior change within health care and school settings, in particular for adolescents. She has conducted extensive work in training health care and public health providers to build capacity for delivering smoking cessation services. Dr. Pbert’s research interests include obesity prevention and treatment, nicotine dependence treatment, and asthma management. In addition, Dr. Pbert is a faculty member in the Ph.D. Program in Clinical and Population Health Research.
