UMASS MEMORIAL FOUNDATION ELECTS OFFICERS TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

WORCESTER, Massachusetts—The UMass Memorial Foundation, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that raises private charitable support for both UMass Memorial Health Care, Inc. and its academic partner, the University of Massachusetts Medical School, elected new officers to its board of directors at its recent annual meeting.

Barbara R. Greenberg, of Worcester, was elected chair; Arthur M. Pappas, MD, of Auburn, was elected vice chair; and Bruce M. Carlin, CPA, of Southborough, was elected treasurer; and Pamela A. Massad, Esq., was elected secretary.

The Board of Directors acts to raise leadership private support for UMass Memorial and UMMS to further the institutions’ missions and goals, and also advises them on matters of institutional advancement, including strategic planning as it relates to philanthropy and fundraising, including annual, capital and planned giving.
