Project Management Training 

The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) currently offers UMMS employees three tracks of training with a focus on project management skills and competencies and with a goal towards project management certification.  Training is offered to UMMS staff, teams, and other stakeholders interested in employing project management skills and processes into their programs. 

Track One includes customized training relating to each phase of the project life-cycle including all related tools and templates. This track consists of five one-to-two-hour modules with specifically targeted topics relating to each project phase: 

• Pre-Initiation 
• Initiation 
• Planning 
• Implementation and Execution 
• Project Closure 

Track Two consists of six customized 1-2 day training seminars focused on formal project management training topics leading to internal Project Management Certification. 

• Fundamentals of Project Management 
• Scheduling and Cost Control 
• Managing Risk 
• Contract Management 
• Project Leadership, Management and Communication 
• Managing Quality 

Track Three consists of Project Management Tool Training: 

• Project Reporter (CWM’s project status reporting tool and project repository) 
• Microsoft Project (Project Planning Tool) 
• Planview (Project Planning Tool)
