Formally established in January 2003, this office has an established reputation for providing excellence in leadership and program development consultative services to Commonwealth Medicine and public sector programs and initiatives. The Office of Program Development (OPD) and the Enterprise Project Managment Office (PMO) are characterized by responsiveness, critical thinking, leadership, and high-quality products and professional services. This office assists clients in assessing, developing, implementing, and improving their health care and business services through innovative consulting, management, clinical and business expertise and the utilization of expert project management techniques through a full-service EPMO.

In 2005, work began to establish, grow, and sustain a full-service, Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). The EPMO was charged with creating a common language and understanding around Project Management at Commonwealth Medicine. The EPMO develops, implements, and deploys consistent project management methodology within the organization, including processes, tools, templates and Best Practices. This is not a one-time event, but a broad initiative that naturally takes time to mature. The end result is increased, measurable efficiency across the board.
