Phases of the Project Life-Cycle – Five individual sessions designed to provide classroom guidance on the use of the CWM Project Management Guide – a self-help manual for the application of consistent project management best practices, guidelines, processes, tools and templates.

Pre-Initiation Phase     (First of a series of five training modules)

Training scheduled on an as needed basis

All projects begin with a conceptualization phase. This is when initial communications around the identification and definition of an opportunity or problem happen, and potential solutions and strategies are analyzed. This training module will help you understand what must occur during the pre-initiation phase of a project. Topics include: the definition of a project, feasibility and cost benefit analysis, identifying project sponsors, and identifying/securing funds.

You will learn:

  • How to plan opening phases of a project
  • How to use known Best Practices for this phase including documents and techniques
  • How to create Feasibility Studies
  • How to produce a Cost Benefit Analysis
