Project Management Training    Track 3

Project Reporter application training – Individual as well as group sessions designed to provide classroom guidance on the use of the CWM Project Reporter application – a multi-pronged project tool that helps team organize, communicate, document and report on projects.  This on-line application provides instant access to key project information and status updates, as well as providing a convenient project document repository.

Administrative Level  (First of a series of three training modules)

Session Duration: 2 hours 

Training scheduled on an as needed basis

You will learn:

  • The purpose for developing the Project Reporter application
  • How to enter projects
  • How to control security access to projects
  • How to assign Lead Roles and Project Team Roles
  • How to develop a Project Description
  • How to use User Defined Fields (UDF)
  • How to enter/add notes and organize tasks
  • How to create and maintain status updates
  • How to add/edit documents
  • How to use the reporting features

You will benefit by:

  • Gaining the skills to successfully manage projects with the Project Reporter application

This training session is designed for people who are or will be managing projects.

User Level  (Second of a series of three training modules) :

Session Duration: 2 hours

Training scheduled on an as needed basis.

As a member of a project team, a User is given access to a project for the purpose of viewing, editing, adding documents, and updating statuses and tasks. 

You will learn:

The purpose of the Project Reporter application

  • How Roles and security are assigned
  • How to enter/assign a Task
  • How to update and add notes to a task
  • How to add/view documents to a project
  • How to use the reporting features
  • How to use the search feature to locate projects

You will benefit by:

  • Gaining the skills to successfully participate as a member of a project team
  • Acquiring instant access to key project information and status updates
  • Having the ability to provide up-to-date, accurate reporting to all levels of management within CWM

Audience:

This training session is designed for anyone participating on a project team needing access to a project in order to view, add documents, and update project statuses and tasks.

 

Department Coordinator Level  (Third of a series of three training modules)

Session Duration: 2 hours

Training Scheduled on an as needed basis 

Each department has an assigned Project Reporter Coordinator. The Coordinator will process requests to add new users and maintain all department user access. Only the Department Coordinator will add users for the department.

You will learn:

  • The purpose of the Project Reporter application
  • How to control security access to projects
  • How to grant access to users from outside the department
  • How to grant access to users when the Project View is Internal
  • How to limit or demote access to users
  • How to enter/assign a Task
  • How to update and add notes to a task
  • How to add/view documents to a project
  • How to access your personal file library
  • How to enter and maintain project status
  • How to use the reporting features
  • How to use the search feature to locate projects

You will benefit by:

  • Gaining the skills to successfully manage assignment of roles and security levels to users within department
  • Acquiring instant access to key project information and status updates
  • Having the ability to provide up-to-date, accurate reporting to all levels of management within CWM

Audience:

This training session is designed for Department Coordinators designated by the Department Director, charged to ensure security and access control and act as the resource for the department.
