David Chirokas, M.B.A., PMP
Senior Project Director
Office of Program Development

As Senior Project Director in the Office of Program Development, David Chirokas is responsible for projects with a high-technology component. With over 25 years experience in the computer industry, Mr. Chirokas brings his complex depth of knowledge to IT projects at UMass Medical School.

Prior to joining Commonwealth Medicine, he worked as a Senior Project Manager at Unica Corporation where he coordinated the development and release of the company's web-based campaign management and interactive marketing products used by major retailers, telecommunications, insurance, and credit card companies. Prior to that, he was a Director at BlueChip Technologies where he led the development and implementation of eforms automation, medical records scanning, and archiving solutions for the health care marketplace.

He has held senior level positions at Fidelity Investments and Information Resources, Inc. He has extensive experience in imaging and workflow automation and holds a patent for software developed at Wang Laboratories. Mr. Chirokas holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Project Management Certificate, both from Bentley College. He also has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Merrimack College.
