Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship Program
Mission Statement
The goals of this program are to develop students' skills in research, and to cultivate students' interest in the inclusion of research in their careers as physicians.
Faculty mentors provide projects on which students work for pay during an eight-week period in the summer before or after their first year.

Project Highlights
- More than forty students per year have previously participated in the program.
- Students are responsible for the preparation of a poster at a fair in the fall of each year.
- Eighty-six percent of students report that the experience positively influenced their career or residency choice.
