Community Health Center Initiatives
Supporting Community Health Centers
In the recent years, community health centers (CHCs) have gained national recognition as an effective model for delivering comprehensive primary care to underinsured and uninsured populations. Given the high numbers of Massachusetts residents who lack insurance, CHCs are providing an increasingly important safety net for Massachusetts residents. Since its inception, Office of Community Programs (OCP) has been dedicated to the development and expansion of federally-qualified community health centers in Massachusetts as a successful strategy for improving access to health care for millions of individuals and families.
