About OCP

The Office of Community Programs (OCP) was established in 1994 to coordinate an extensive community outreach effort on behalf of the University of Massachusetts Medical School Campus. We believe that collaboration between the community and the University makes for more productive and healthier neighborhoods and communities.

Mission

The Mission of the Office of Community Programs is to improve the health and well-being of New England populations with limited access to health care. This is achieved by anticipating and responding to public health concerns and community needs through the development of innovative educational resources, health care services, partnerships, programs and technologies.

Vision

Our Vision is the development, growth and sustainability of high quality health care services, training programs, collaborative relationships and educational resources that improve the health care of New England populations with limited access.

Based at South St in Shrewsbury, the office serves as a hub for the system--providing grant and contract management, program development and management, and evaluation services along with providing administrative, logistical, technical and financial support to community based program locations.
