Community Programs

OCP works with local organizations, private entities and public health agencies to build partnerships of like-minded organizations that are dedicated to improving public health care at the community level. We help community organizations and leaders improve services by examining and assessing individual community needs in order to create practical program solutions. Following an in-depth need assessment, we then draw upon these partnerships to develop innovative community health care programs.

We are particularly skilled at bringing together organizations from different sectors to either create new programs or streamline services, by leveraging the expertise and resources each individual group has to offer. Often these collaborations pool state and local public funds, federal initiatives, foundation grants and non-profit support to fill a community health care need.

In addition to financial cooperation, we examine each opportunity to determine what resources are most appropriate to successfully solve the issue at hand.

Program Examples

OCP has developed a number of community health and human service programs that illustrate the unique benefits of such partnerships, including:

Developing much-needed oral health services in community health centers and schools.

  • Assessment and implementation strategies to assist communities to develop new community health centers  or expand the capacity of existing health centers.
  • Developing a foster care evaluation services ( FaCES ) program to identify the health problems of children entering the Foster Care System.
