Flaky Pie Crust

2 c Pastry Flour
½ t Salt
½ c Cold Pressed Canola Oil (cold)
½ c Water (ice cold)

Mix dry ingredients and add oil. Mix well with fork until oil is well distributed and flour is crumbly. Add water & mix with fork until this mixture forms into a ball.

Separate into 2 balls and let stand for ½ hour before rolling out.

When rolling, use flour to prevent dough from sticking to surface. Keep turning dough over, or it will start to stick, and reflour surface at time of turning. Also, when rolling ball, roll from center out in all directions. Don’t roll back and forth or dough will get tough.


Makes 8 servings.
Per serving, without filling: 226 calories, 14g fat, 1.1g sat fat, 3.8g fiber, 4.2g protein.
