Basic Experiments on Cardiac Transport

Kinetics of radiolabeled myocardial perfusion agents. Use of perfusion imaging to assess prognosis in patients with heart disease. Preoperative evaluation of cardiac Risk.

Techniques in Use: Indicator-dilution studies with isolated rabbit hearts. Use of compartmental modeling. Assessment of myocardial viability. Quantitative autoradiography.
