At UMMS since 2013, Morrissey is a graduate of Anna Maria College and was previously the associate director of financial aid at Framingham State University. He is described by colleagues as ”committed to students as well as the financial aid profession.”

Part of the division of School Services, the Financial Aid Office at UMMS administers federal and institutional student loans and gift aid for the Medical School, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and the Graduate School of Nursing.

The mission of the Massachusetts Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA) is to empower, educate and engage all financial aid professionals.

“Quality training opportunities for everyone from the novice financial aid administrator to the most seasoned in our profession is essential,” said Morrissey. “As president of MASFAA I would like to bring even more expertise to training opportunities in MASFAA and also share our knowledge with other regions. I would also like to look into the use of technology to offer more opportunities for training through webinars.”
