Last year, members of the UMass Medical School community volunteered more than 40,000 hours in service, about half of which took place here in the Worcester area. On Monday, April 27, the Office of Community and Government Relations is providing opportunities for new and returning volunteers to connect with local agencies that need help.
The sixth annual Volunteer Fair will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the main campus in the Medical School lobbies. Representatives from non-profit agencies will share information about their organizations and the volunteer opportunities they have available. Approximately 40 agencies will be represented.
Don’t miss this chance to find the agency that matches your desire to serve. Organizations range from the American Heart Association to local agencies like the United Way of Central Massachusetts and the Horizons for Homeless Children.
