The UMMS Department of Public Safety is once again offering a free self defense course for women.
The only program of its kind endorsed by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators, Rape Aggression Defense is a comprehensive self defense course for women that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, and progresses to the basics of hands-on defensive training.
Free and open to all faculty, staff and students and their family members, RAD classes will take place on March 17, 18, 24 and 31 from 5 to 8 p.m. All participants will receive a free course booklet.
