Shriver Center team tops at UMMS Cancer Walk

Members of Team Shriver Center, the top UMass Medical School fundraising team for the 15th UMass Medicine Cancer Walk, enjoyed a celebratory lunch with Chancellor Michael F. Collins last month in the Chancellor’s suite. The team raised more than $20,000 to support research and care at the Cancer Center for Excellence.

Team members at the lunch were: Nancy Shea (who raised $15,000 herself and was the top fundraiser for the entire Cancer Walk), Donna Caira, Carol Imposimato, Jim Gleason, Joanne Klederas, Richard Caira, Christophe Gerard, Charles Hamad and Melissa Maslin.

The 2013 UMass Medicine Cancer Walk on Sept. 29, 2013 raised $509,431, surpassing the $500,000 fundraising goal.

The 2014 walk will take place on Sunday, Sept.28.
