Harvey Makadon, MD, clinical professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, was the keynote speaker at the second-annual LGBT Convocation luncheon on Tuesday, Sept. 17, an event sponsored by the Diversity and Equal Opportunity Office.
Dr. Makadon is director of the National LGBT Health Education Center at The Fenway Institute. With its mission to ensure access to quality, culturally competent medical and mental health care for traditionally underserved communities, LGBT people and those affected by HIV/AIDS, The Fenway Institute is the research, training and health policy and public health advocacy division of Fenway Health, now one of the world’s largest LGBT-focused community health centers.
