In the last few years of his life, the late Gov. Paul Cellucci forged a relationship with UMass Medical School that we will always cherish. From his treatment by Dr. Robert H. Brown Jr., DPhil, MD, chair of the Department of Neurology at UMMS, to his role in the creation of the UMass ALS Champion Fund to support the work of Dr. Brown and other UMMS researchers toward treatments and a cure for ALS, the Governor left an imprint here that will matter long into the future.
