High school and community college students interested in health care careers attended the fourth annual Massachusetts Area Health Education Center Health Occupations Student of America (MassAHEC HOSA) State Leadership Conference at UMass Medical School on Saturday, April 6. Molly Rivest, RN (far right), a doctor of nursing practice student at the Graduate School of Nursing, demonstrated how to take vital signs and was one of many instructors and role models who volunteered at the event. MassAHEC HOSA is the commonwealth’s chapter of the national organization that focuses on academic achievement, public service to the community and professional skills development.
