Due to the National Weather Service’s prediction of a winter storm bringing significant snow and wind to the region, UMass Medical School will remain open and operational until noon on Friday, Feb. 8. At that time, UMMS employees, including Commonwealth Medicine employees, will be dismissed. Classes in all three schools are cancelled after noon as well. MassBiologics and UMass Memorial Medical Center will communicate separately with their employees.
UMMS staff responsible for essential functions will maintain those functions; all other offices and activities will close Friday at noon. Employees will be paid for their regular scheduled time.
